Strategic Generalist

Your part-time, right-hand technical resource for strategic overflow

As a startup CEO, you likely have strategic work that’s stalled because those who can do it are already at max load.

This strategic overflow is also often full of jobs too varied and too small to staff or contract for.

Not only domain-specific, contractors are usually time-consuming (sourcing, orienting, managing, reviewing) and an uncertain fit.

As a Strategic Generalist, I provide end-to-end, cross-domain execution to help with your strategic overflow.

Wide-ranging high-level skills. Work independently. Deployed in lieu of multiple specialists. Value grows over time. Quality relationship.

Exclusive, part-time, flat-rate, month‑to‑month, off-site. After hours if needed.

I’m a software engineer/web applications developer—a programmer since we stored files on little rolls of yellow punch tape. I've worked for IBM, Borland International (desktop developer tools and databases), Netscape (Navigator was the Internet's first killer app), high-image firms like Jaguar Land Rover Automotive and GrayBox, leading-edge firms like Megh Computing, and scores of boutique brands.

This experience has included all aspects of building and selling products and services, including design, UX, branding, graphics/imaging, writing/editing, analytics, security, and more.

I've also been a technical writer, researcher, organizational development consultant, sociology lecturer, strategic planner, facilitator, international environmental campaigner, preschool teacher, boat builder, innovator and trainer in the field of personal agency, among other undertakings.

I have focused much of my life on being a strategic generalist.
